What is Tobacco Cigarettes / Bidis ?

It is known as “Indian Khaki Cigarette “ made from Indian Tobacco. Bidis are Indian Traditional Handmade item. These are made from mixture of quality tobacco , wrapped in dry leaf known as ‘ TENDU LEAF ’, these leaves are cut to sizes, tied up with thin thread at the narrow end. These Bidis are roasted in an oven to remove the moisture to give inimitable flavour that brings indefinable pleasure to the smokers.
 

Manufacturing of Cigarettes / Bidis
At first , garnering of raw material , different Herbs are blended as per desire proportion , then dry Tendu Leaves are selected and cut to uniform size. As usual, blending remains as a trade secret of the manufacturer. Experience skilled workers with his or her fingers just roll the Bidis at one stroke. Flat & narrow at the smoking end and round at the light end.

After desire roasting from oven, Bidis become dry & stiff , then are tied up at the flat & narrow end with thin coloured thread. Thus Bidis are manufactured skillfully & carefully. After this ,20/25 Bidis are neatly wrapped in paper in conical form to make Bundle (Pack ) or in Cigarette Pack and such 10 Bundles/ Cigarette Packs are packed in paper wrapper or in Duplex Caron to make a Packet.
